As part of the flagship project of the Be’er Sheva Economic Development Company, works are underway to construct a lake and sprawling park at the heart of Be’er Sheva River Park – the Negev’s metropolitan park and the largest royal lake in the Middle East.
Works include landscape development, waterproofing, construction, infrastructure and water systems, as well as underground, electrical and lighting infrastructure across a total area of approximately 120 dunams.
The lake and park will integrate into the existing park complex spanning 5,300 dunams, which includes cycling paths, playgrounds, a 12,000-seat amphitheater and heritage sites – a groundbreaking undertaking that transforms Be’er Sheva River into one of Israel’s leading cultural, tourism and leisure destinations.
